Rainbow Block

November 4, 2008

This quilt is a rainbow of colors and patterns. My customer’s mother had pieced the top in the 70’s and it is now ready to be wrapped around it’s new owner, a newborn baby.

The backing and binding are made from a soft blue flannel with tiny stars and I quilted it with a clamshell pattern.

  1. Beautiful quilting Deb. I’m so frustrated with my machine right now. I hope someday to be as good as you!

  2. those string quilts just never go out of style!

  3. This reminds me so much of a string quilt from the 1950’s found in my mother in laws home. Pretty, and they just never get old!
