I took 3 longarm classes in Houston last weekend so my work in progress this week is practice, practice, practice!

  1. Oooh this looks like fun. I like the feathers with the little cirlces running down the middle.

  2. Looking good! Loved the photo of you and Debra with the Lone Star quilt.

  3. I guess those feathers aren’t all that easy, hmmm.

I think I have given up the idea of a longarm machine for an embroidery machine. I tested one yesterday and it looked like lots of fun!

  4. What fun to see all these feather variations side by side.

  5. It’s looking good!

  6. Hi Deb! It was so great to meet you in Houston! Weren’t the classes fun?! You’re brave to post your practice pieces – I thought about doing that but… maybe not. 🙂 The feathers are awesome!

  7. Your work looks great–and fun too. Makes me think of ice skating on cloth!

  8. This is so interesting. I can’t do any of this, of course, but it’s neat to see what lies behind the beautiful work that longarm people do. The overlapping feather design, where the feather plumes seem to keep going back over the one before is particularly neat, I think
